Wilmington Harbor Enhancement Trust
Tall Ship Prince William Visit
In 2007, WHET coordinated with the Tall Ships Youth
Trust from the United Kingdom to arrange a Memorial
Day visit from their 195 foot signature brigantine "Prince
William"
Several members of WHET's Board of Directors were invited to sail on the ship for three days from Morehead City to Wilmington and experience the valuable work performed by the Trust in building character, teamwork and a sense of self worth among the young people that sail on the ship.
Thousands of Wilmingtonians came out to welcome the ship for a four day stay. This visit developed what we hope will be a lasting relationship between the Tall Ships Youth Trust and Wilmington Harbor Enhancement Trust
